Why we don’t make resolutions!

Hi Friends!

Welcome to the New Year! We are so glad to be moving onward and upward from the last year and a half. It’s been tough for all of us.

Mind

That being said we wanted to share our 100 New Year’s Resolutions…PSYCHE

Just kidding. Actually, we are not big fans of resolutions because you know, we don’t keep them. What we do love are goals – the simple kind that you can keep and have a huge impact long-term. Here are some examples:

● Walk 1,000 more steps a day than you did last year (your smartphone will track).

● Drink 8 ounces more water a day – do it the same time everyday so that you make it habitual. Say one hour before your lunch or dinner.

● Write a thank you note to one person each month.

● Warm-up in the car every morning to be sure your voice is ready for your day.

Body

Eating mindfully is one of the most overlooked aspects to eating as digestion begins in your brain when you think about food, before you start eating.

The cephalic phase, or first phase of digestion only works properly when you are relaxed and stress can actually shut down the digestive process. Therefore, relaxing and being mindful while eating is a really effective (and free) way to boost your digestion.

Spirit

Over the past several years I have been embracing the philosophy of experiential gifts and I have found it to be very meaningful. Take your loved one’s out to a holiday concert and you will “win” in many ways including an enriching soulful experience, quality time with your friends and the opportunity to financially bless fellow musicians.

We want to thank you for sticking with us this year! We are looking forward to another great year of mindfulness and singing!
